Story to Tell

I did a series of shots for a good friend of mine recently. Through the eyes of this little doll, one will be able to view this world from a different perspective. This concept really caught my interest. Read more about her story in her blog:

Midnight Blue

This album was done last year but I only post process the shots now. I remembered myself heading aimlessly down the road on that summer midnight. Perhaps I was hoping to rediscover myself through others? Or was I simply feeling lost at that point in time? I am really unsure.

Grow Here

A piece of my work which was featured in the publication "Eye e City 2008".

Aging population is a phenomenon experienced by most major city, including Singapore. I believe that everyone needs some form of goal to work towards in life. Hence, a sense of uncertainty and emptiness inevitably sets in after retirement. Our parents, after working tirelessly for most of their life, deserve a more comfortable place to spend their old age. Care from both their childern and the community plays a major role in filling up this "empty hole". In this way, the scenario of elderly heading aimlessly out to the street might be seen less frequently.

Man and Nature - A Balance?

While mankind builds his desired home, he constantly returns some space to nature. Although different cities practice the philosophy to a different extent, the common aim of such act is to achieve a balance between a built and a natural environment. A pure urban environment is often too harsh for mankind to live in. With the touch of nature, the urban landscape is injected with natural qualities such as fresh air and shades. These qualities are essential for healthy living of mankind and are often difficult to achieve artificially.
